Working from home when you have attention-seeking pets might be the best thing about working remotely, even if it does prevent you from actually doing any work most of the time. 

First of all, they are a wonderful ice-breaker during stressful meetings. We all melt when we encounter a pawdorable puppy or a purrfect little feline popping on our screen when we're in a meeting, even if it is an important one. As soon as their little faces appear, everyone is instantly smiling, and the entire work day immediately gets so much better.

Second, these little rascals know exactly what to do to distract you from work, and most of the time, it is actually working. They will squeak their chew toy, howl and meow, and they will jump on your lap, demanding attention. And what can we say? If our fluffy friends are doing all of that, there is no way we can ignore them and continue working. They are about to get all the love and attention we have to give.
